It is an IoT project in which the structure communicates its state of health over time and the possible influence of external factors: this allows constant control and timely intervention. A web platform and mobile app control the sensors applied to the structure and communicate the situation in progress in a simple and immediate way.
Rudavoi Bridge Monitoring
In 2018 we started experimenting with our Internet of Things technology with a project for Veneto Strade, applying sensors and technologies to the Bridge over the Rudavoi River, which is located along the S.R. 48 “delle Dolomiti”, in the municipality of Cortina d’Ampezzo (BL).
The monitoring takes place through sensors that detect the significant parameters of the structure’s behavior, such as displacements and deformations, stress states and dynamic quantities. On the other hand, data communication takes place through a web platform and App.
The experience with the Rudavoi Bridge allowed us to test the system and optimize the technology at our disposal.
Today, the database obtained from monitoring is an important research tool to develop future applications and increase the level of safety of bridges, viaducts and overpasses.
